We believe in . . .
LOVE: GOD is love. God created us, and when we sinned and rebelled against Him, God still loved us and planned to redeem us.
GRACE: God gives grace. God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Jesus died for us on the cross, taking the penalty for our sin. Grace is more than forgiveness; we exchange our sin for the righteousness of Christ.
HOPE: Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive forever. Because He lives, we have the promise of eternal life in God’s paradise. Our hope is not just for today, but forever.
FAITH: We access God’s blessings by faith in a 2-step process: repenting and believing. Repenting is confessing and turning away from sin. Believing is trusting in Christ’s sacrifice by faith, His resurrection and His victory.
PEACE: Everyone who believes in Jesus receives as a gift the Holy Spirit Who comes and lives in our hearts. The Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts and helps us understand all the things of God. He gives us the gift of peace; peace with God, peace in ourselves, and peace with others.
WORD: The Bible is the Word of God, containing the history of God’s relationship with people, God’s promises, and God’s plan of salvation in Jesus Christ. The Bible is the only source of God’s truth. Other words may come and go, but the Bible stands forever.
PRAYER: We can talk to God anytime, anyplace, and in any way. Communication lines with God are always open, and He is never surprised at what we say or how we say it. God always listens, and God always answers.
If you have never believed in Christ or prayed to receive Him as your Savior, you can do it right now! Simply pray these words:
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for me. I believe that through His sacrifice and resurrection, I have eternal life. Please forgive me, Lord Jesus, and accept me into Your family. Send Your Holy Spirit to live in my heart, for now I belong to You, just as You promised. In Jesus’ name, amen.
IMORTANT! If you have prayed this prayer and received Christ as your Savior for the first time, please tell someone. You can tell us, or tell your pastor, or find a church and tell the pastor, or tell a friend that you know who is a Christian. Get plugged into a church family, and start reading the Bible – the book of John in the New Testament (towards the back) is a good starting place. We will pray for you and give you whatever help we can from a distance, but please find a local church that will become your place of fellowship and support.
